The True Damage of a Fire

In less than 20 seconds, even a small flame can get out of control – beyond anything that could be contained with a fire extinguisher. In minutes, the destructive force of a fire increases exponentially; fueled by the rapidly rising temperatures that can reach as high as 1,800°F.

To put that in perspective, paper will auto ignite at less than 500°F, and many types of plastic will begin melting at less than 700°F. This damages most equipment beyond repair and causes significant structural damage that can take months to fix. And the figures are staggering; with nearly $10 billion worth of property damage across the United States per year.

But the property damage is just part of the story. It’s the loss of human life that’s the real tragedy…

In 2012 alone, over 2,400 people perished in the U.S. from structural fires, and roughly 14,700 were seriously injured, simply because they couldn’t escape in time.

Our Mission

We founded Intelligent Fire Systems & Solutions because we think the statistics above are unacceptable in the 21st century. The real irony is that the technology to prevent most structural fires, to save lives, and eliminate property damage already exists.

But unfortunately, problems occur when companies in the fire protection industry don’t implement these technologies correctly, or don’t put in the effort to customize the installation to the client’s needs and assure the design is accurate and the installation is thorough.

During our 45 years combined experience in the industry, we saw that a cookie-cutter model used by many fire protection companies simply wasn’t maximizing value for clients.

So when we launched Intelligent Fire Systems & Solutions in 2014, we wanted to do things differently. Our goal was to build not just a company, but a team of professionals that took a unique and personalized approach to each and every one of our clients. We bring this personalized approach to all aspects of our work, including:
